Constructing websites from scratch: A classroom approach.
An inservice for all teachers who wish to develop websites quickly for their students utilizing the many designs found with freely available templates
We want to get a web site up and running, yet we are short of time. This is the situation faced by Emad Attie with his classes at St Monica's in Epping.
Emad has devised a strategy based on a series of shareware templates using Dreamweaver and Photoshop as the applications to put the website together. (A trial version of Dreamweaver and Photoshop can be downloaded from the Adobe website)
In this very practically focused professional learning day, you will join Emad in the morning to construct the framework of your website, and in the afternoon complete the development of your site specific to the needs of your class or school. Other templates will also be explored which can form the foundations of a website using Photoshop, Flash or Frontpage.
The techniques learned during the day can be taken directly back to your classroom. A practical, curriculum focused, hands-on and enjoyable day!
Bring your own laptop and any school based resources that could be used in your site. Especially useful for teachers of Years 7-10
