ICTEV 2008 Conference - Successful stories using ICT

ICT in Education Victoria proudly announces its 29th annual state conference, Successful stories using ICT , to be held at Melbourne Grammar School, South Yarra on Saturday 24th May 2008. This conference focuses on weaving ICT into every facet of education, connecting students and teachers in their learning through a broad range of resources and skills.

The aim of this 2008 conference is to share the successful stories we all have in the use of ICT in our teaching and learning lives. We all know the disaster stories and the technical issues that plagued the teaching and learning lives around us, and we all learn from each of these, but at this year's conference we want participants to focus on and share the successful stories:

- The stories that make you smile
- The stories that make your students smile
- The stories of developing Physical, Personal and Social Learning in your students
- The stories of developing discilpine-based learning in your students
- The stories that tell about a lot of planning and preparation; and
- The stories that just happened on their own that you were lucky enough to be a part of.

No matter how big or how small, we all have stories to tell, and these stories shape how we teacher and learn in the future. So get together with colleagues and look, listen and share great stories of ICT from our broad and varied education system. You will then be able to return to your school and relate the stories you see and hear to your school, your classroom, your students, yourself and across the next 12 months. Develop your own version of those stories, to share with other teachers in the future.

Embrace and explore Successful stories in ICT!

This conference promises to deliver school principals, ICT leaders, primary, secondary, and tertiary educators, technicians and specialists with a range of hands-on sessions that will allow them to explore and examine best practice examples across the entire curriculum. See first hand what is topical and exciting in the areas of ICT in education and new approaches to technology that can enhance learning.
