Ziptales and VELS in Bendigo: A value packed use of online literacy

This teacher professional learning workshop is designed especially for teachers of Years 2 to 6, teachers of literacy and IT consultants. An opportunity to gain an understanding of this exciting program and to develop resources on your own laptop. Ziptales is an all Australian literacy site for primary age children. As well as the 200 stories, there are videos, puzzles, poems, comics, documentaries, DIY projects and ‘How to write’ modules – 300+ content modules. All stories come with classroom worksheets, and another 600+ worksheets.. Ziptales is interactive, and highly motivating, and a wonderful resource for Interactive Whiteboards. The Professional Learning session on Ziptales will introduce the concepts and software and the remainder of this time will consist of exploring the program on your own laptop and discussing the teaching and learning concepts with a teacher who uses it in her own classroom.

Invoicing

Cancellations
There is no refund if less than one week of notice is given prior the professional development. Cancellation prior to this will incur a $60 cancellation fee.

All professional development courses are catered, if you have any special dietary requirements please indicate this on your registration form or contact the ICTEV office (03) 9349 3733 upon registering.
