Flash CS4 Professional: Start from the beginning

Bring your own PC or Mac laptop to this day. Flash CS4 is a new release of the FLASH software, and it has great new features that will fit into classroom teaching, allowing students to quickly create exciting animation. You will appreciate the new automated features which makes teaching this software so much easier and allows students to produce great projects quickly. Learn in a small group with an experienced presenter. This day will assume no knoweldge of this product and is a great way to learn about this popular animation product and its latest features. Great for placing on school websites and much more. Demonstration software can be downloaded from the Adobe site, and a curriculum CD will be available to take away.

Dreamweaver CS4 Day 1 To start from the beginning: Creating a page

The session assumes no prior knowledge of this easy to use program. By the end of this day, you will have the skills to design your own basic webpage. If you are familiar with older versions, then this is a session which will update you to the new features. You can access a series of tutorials which you keep and can return to in your leisure. Bring your own laptop. Please note: Whilst each day can be assessed separately, we would encourage those taking Day 1 to also enrol for Day 2 on 3rd September to get a full appreciation of this software and to move beyond the page and onto website development.

Exciting explorations with Photoshop CS4 Day 1: An introduction for Middle Years Teachers

Photoshop CS4 adds many features that teachers of Years 5 to 10 and beyond are finding greatly assist students to develop their skills with graphics for both print and especially for the web and eportfolios. In this full day workshop, Susan Bell, a presenter with current teaching practice in secondary schools, will take you through the basics and extend you with the more complex features of this versatile program, and discuss practical lesson structures. Susan will explore the excellent CD of Digital Careers teaching resource which participants can take away at the end of the session. Although this workshop assumes no prior knowledge of this program, Susan will take you at the end of the day to a level of skills where you feel comfortable with its main features. You will need to bring your own laptop (PC or Mac) and with wireless connection ability. Whilst we strongly encourage teachers to attend both days, each day can nevertheless be booked separately.
