Exciting explorations with Photoshop CS4 Day 2: Taking Middle Years Teachers further 1/9/2009 Day Two is recommended for teachers who have attended Day One or feel confident in Photoshop. In this Day Two workshop you will learn to use your photoshop skills to create professional e-Portfolios for yourself and students, create a mock website to upload to a free hosting site and use your image skills to embrace Web 2.0 technologies by creating a photostream in Flickr. Developing this theme, you will have the opportunity to personalise home pages in Twitter, Facebook and Myspace and discover sites like Ning and Wordpress to provide feedback and enhance student engagement, presentation and communication skills. Finally, you will learn to utilise the tools of Photoshop to create Avatars, backgrounds and a unique user experience for all your classes. Dreamweaver CS4 Day 2 Extending your skills: Building a site 3/9/2009 Day 2 is designed to extend the knowledge and skills of those who have completed Day 1 or who have acquired commensurate skills from other settings. Day 2 is designed to develop those extra skills and techniques to realise the full potential of this outstanding software. This day will take you further to explore the advanced features of the new release of this program. Special attention will focus on building a CSS based website. Great activities using the Interactive Whiteboard in the primary classroom. 7/9/2009 In this workshop you will develop some lesson plans and strategies on your own laptop suitable for IWB's of all brands and makes. This is a fun and an active afternoon where Julia, who uses IWBs extensively with her own students, will share with you a range of successful ideas and activities that you can explore, discuss, and from which you can select for your own classes back at school. In this session Julia will demonstrate a way of Incorporating IWB into morning classroom organization and explain the processes of appointing Students in-charge of IWB, giving them ownership to become Interactive Whiteboard Assistants.
While Julia will explore the 10 most useful tools of the Smartboard and develop planning units of work on the IWB, you will be able to use these units on the Whiteboard of your choice. A final important issue to be covered is the connection with IWB and the web, and this will be demonstrated by visiting the best interactive websites. Early Years - Planning for 2010: Fresh ideas for P - 4 Classes 26/9/2009 Timed to allow Early Years staff to experience new ideas in the uses of ICT in classes P - 4, to use in 2010, this twilight event at Loretto Toorak provides the opportunity to book into a number of sessions to match you own needs and interests. There will be a range of workshops and presentations that are classroom focused and which can be used directly back in your schools. Watch this space for more details as the program is finalised. Cancellations
There is no refund if less than one week of notice is given prior the professional development. Cancellation prior to this will incur a $60 cancellation fee. |
